Car description
The 126 was based on the technical foundations of its predecessor, the Fiat 500, as both models were rear-engined and rear-wheel drive, with the same wheelbase. However, the new car has a modernized and safer body.
The car was manufactured in Poland under a Fiat license between 1973 and 2000.
In the 1980s, the 126p continuously underwent minor and major modifications. First of all, it got stronger brakes and new wheels from the Italian Fiat, and then the car also got a parking brake to comply with the new legal regulations. From 1985, the plastic rear bumpers of the time were equipped with rear fog lights and reversing lights from the factory. Around 1987, the undersized dynamo was replaced with a modern generator, and the car received electronic ignition. Due to its low price, the 126p was a very popular vehicle in Poland, especially during the 1980s. Because of his small size, he was nicknamed Maluch, which means toddler in Polish. The name became so popular that the manufacturer adopted it as an official name.

Please read the booking information below carefully! We are not able to handover our cars if these conditions are not fully met!

- Maximum of 2 Children (under 16) can sit in the same car with their parents. In this case, the reservation of 1 car is allowed.
- The driver need to be person over the age of 18, with a license obtained for at least 2 years.
- Make sure you have a valid identity card (passport in the case of foreign citizens), resident card and driving license and keep in mind that there is ZERO tolerance in Hungary for driving under the influence of alcohol. Under no circumstances is alcohol consumption allowed while operating a motor vehicle!
- EUR 250 deposit in cash is required for the rental of the cars - we will return it after the car is returned intact and complete.
- All cars have manual transmission. Practical knowledge of how to use a clutch is essential.
- Our cars are all classic vehicles therefore, operating them their driving requires more care and increased awareness with an understanding that stopping distances need to be greater and steering requires more effort than non-classic cars.
- Please arrive 15-20 min earlier than schedule start time to have time for inspection of the car, completing the necessary administration and training.
- For daily rental, the selected vehicle can be picked up at our depot every morning between 09.00h and 10.00h or we can deliver the car to any location in Budapest at an extra service.
- Please return the vehicle by 09.00h with fuel gauge is in similar position as when handed over.
- 2 óras bérlés esetén 100 km a limit, egész napos bérlés esetén pedig 250 km.
